Directed Acyclic Graph ( DAG ) - example showing Drawing and Diagramming on the Web with MetaDraw
MetaDraw can be used directly in a Web page under Microsoft Internet Explorer. The sample below shows how easy it is to provide support for creating and working with Directed Acyclic Graphs within a standard desktop application or web page with MetaDraw.
A directed acyclic graph, is a diagram of connected nodes flowing in one direction ( from parents to children ). One might think of it as a tree of nodes however each child node may have multiple parents so that the path to a node may have many different origins
Of course you can extend this sample for your application to provide a background image, defined shapes, merging in images, setting colors, fonts, line styles, ... In fact you have full control over everything in MetaDraw
Don't forget - MetaDraw can also be used for Hotspots, Annotation, Mapping, Arranging Images, Animation, and much more.
In the diagram below you can select and move diagram nodes,
and watch the links automatically update.
Note that MetaDraw supports not only the code based
diagam creation, but easy implementation of user
interaction. The buttons below can be used
to select ( and move ) nodes, delete, undo, redo, create new diagam links,
clear, save, add text, add lines and shapes.
The code for this example may be seen by right clicking
on the web page and selecting "View Source"
Note that Bennet-Tec can additionally create code
on a paid support basis, for optimal diagram layouts
for diagrams of various styles as well as other customizations.
